I have not always been a California girl. Lawrence, Kansas is where I call home. I was raised with 2 brothers and no sisters, so I learned to be tough at a young age. I also learned how to stand out. At age 6 I discovered gymnastics. At 9, I discovered dance lessons and then somewhere around 10 or 11 I caught the acting bug. I had done some modeling jobs as a kid so I was comfortable performing and working with adults. First, I ventured into the world of community theatre and not too long after, I began bugging my mom to let me move to L.A. Finally at age 15 she let me do it!
I worked very hard taking 2 acting classes a week and still taking dance lessons and meeting with agents. Within a year, I became a "working actor". In high school, I guest starred on many shows and starred on "Hang Time". After my graduation (from Burbank High, where I was named homecoming and prom queen), I took a break from Hollywood and attended the University of Nebraska. It was great getting to be closer to my family in Kansas, but that didn't last long. After my Freshman year I felt that L.A. was calling me back.
Soon after returning to Cali. I was able to call myself a "working actor" once again, starring on "Undresed" and Guest Starring on Scrubs and Las Vegas.
I still make time to dance and have dreams of one day producing films. I will keep you posted on all that is to come! |
